SAGI ACADEMY LIMITED is the "data controller" responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16921727, with its registered office at Office 16114, 182–184 High Street North, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom.

2 What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect through sagi.academy and our private Discord community, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and with the EU GDPR where it applies to visitors in the European Economic Area.
3 Data we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Contact enquiries — your name, email address, the topic you select and the message you write.
- Newsletter — your email address, if you subscribe.
- Buying a plan — your name and email address, and the plan you bought. We never receive or store your card details (see 3.3).
- Live chat — anything you type into the chat widget, plus any name or email you give the agent.
- Community — your Discord username and anything you post in our server.
- WhatsApp support — your phone number and message content, if you choose to contact us that way.
3.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages visited, referring page, and time spent.
- Behavioural analytics — we use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement) and can create session recordings and heatmaps. This is used to understand and improve the site, not to identify you personally.

3.3 Information from third parties
Our payment partner Stripe confirms to us that a payment succeeded and tells us which plan was bought, the email address used, and the last four digits and brand of the card. Your full card number is entered on Stripe's secure checkout and is never transmitted to or stored by us. Stripe also processes technical and device information to detect fraud, under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
4 Why we use it, and our legal bases
Under data protection law we need a "legal basis" for each use of your data. Ours are:

5 Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the site, and — only with your consent — cookies for analytics and live chat.
You choose your preferences in the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change them at any time. Blocking non-essential cookies does not stop you using the site or buying a plan.

6 Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the business. Each is bound to protect it and to use it only on our instructions.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7 International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision covering the receiving country.
You can ask us for details of the safeguards that apply to a specific transfer.
8 How long we keep data
- Sales and tax records — 6 years after the end of the relevant financial year, as required by UK law.
- Support enquiries and chat transcripts — up to 24 months after your last contact.
- Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Community membership — for the duration of your access, and a limited period afterwards for enforcement and re-joining.
- Analytics data — for the retention period set by the analytics provider.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
9 Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Erase your data, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
- Restrict how we use your data in certain circumstances;
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
- Portability — receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, email support@sagi.academy. We respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
10 Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — we would like the chance to fix it.
You also have the right to complain to the UK regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
If you are in the EEA, you may instead complain to the data protection authority in your country.
11 Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we limit access to personal data to people who need it to do their job. Payment card data never reaches our systems.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify you and the ICO as the law requires.
12 Children
Our service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our service or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version. If a change materially affects you, we will make that clear on the site.
